prof. n. dr hab. Dariusz Szostek

Specialises in new technologies law, including legal aspects of e-commerce. He is an expert in the field of electronic documents, electronic identification (electronic signature) and authentication methods.


Professor Szostek is an expert in the European Parliament's Artificial Intelligence Observatory (EPAIO) and a member of the Blockhaton Forum in the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUiPO).
Legal advisor (licence no. KT 3267, OIRP Katowice), Managing Partner, habilitated doctor, professor at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Opole in the Department of Law and Civil Procedure. Member of the Committee for Legal and Economic Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Katowice.


He chairs the Scientific Council of the Virtual Department of Ethics and Law (consortium of the University of Silesia, University of Warsaw, UKSW, PW, UW, UO, UWr, UŁ, PAN, AFM, MC, NASK).


Professor Szostek is also the Head of the Centre for Legal Problems of Technology and New Technologies at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Opole.


He participates in numerous scientific conferences, legislative works on legal regulations concerning new technologies, conducts lectures and trainings, was a member of expert teams at the Ministry of Justice.

dr Gabriela Bar

Enthusiast of new technologies and Artificial Intelligence. Experienced expert in the field of electronic contracts, e-commerce, legal aspects of IT systems implementation, personal data protection and information security.
Member of the IEEE Legal Committee (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) in the IEEE Global Initiative on Ethics of Autonomous and Intelligent Systems project; member of the New Technologies Law Association, Women in AI and AI4EU.


Researcher at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Opole - responsible for legal support for the project team as part of the implementation of Digital Manufacturing Platforms for Connected Smart Factories (Industry 4.0).

Researcher at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Katowice - responsible for legal support for the project Multi-Agent Systems for Pervasive Artificial Intelligence for assisting Humans in Modular Production Environments (Horizon 2020).

Radosław Kapułka

Attorney at Law (license no. WR-2146, OIRP Wrocław), a graduate of the University of Wrocław Faculty of Law, Administration, and Economics. Possesses rich experience in areas related to assistance for entities operating on regulated markets, particularly in the energy market (transmission enterprises).

Radosław Kapułka specializes in civil and administrative proceedings. Rulings handed down in cases he has conducted are published in legal information databases, and verdicts issued by the Supreme Court have led to the unification of jurisprudence in transmission easements as relates to permanent usufruct rights. He also boasts experience in assessing the value of transmission easements, which helps avoid costs associated with the over-valuation of claims in judicial proceedings.

He is fluent in English, including legal English. On multiple occasions, he has advised foreign entities on establishing and conducting business in Poland.

Radosław Kapułka is the author of numerous press publications on transmission easements. He is a trusted advisor to companies in the energy market.

dr hab. Przemysław Polański

Of counsel, Habilitated doctor of legal sciences. He specializes in the law of new technologies, particularly in negotiations and provisions of contracts in the IT field, including deployment contracts and SLA, protection of intellectual property rights in software, databases, Internet webpages, unlawful contractual clauses, terms and conditions, IT tenders, personal data protection, etc.

He is one of Poland’s leading experts in European and international law of new technologies. In 2013, he was selected by the European Commission to join a group of experts engaged in the issue of contractual clauses applied by suppliers of cloud-based services.

Dr Polański possesses rich experience in designing complex computer systems (lead architect for Legalis since 2007) and as a developer (author of applications for the B2B sector).

Well-versed in the customs present in the IT industry, he is the author of a book on the subject titled "Customary law of the Internet", published by the prestigious T.M.C Asser Press in 2007. Author of over 70 scientific publications concerning the law and IT. Trained as both a lawyer and information scientist.

Rafał’s interests are related to intellectual property law and the law of new technologies. Specialist in contract law, copyright and privacy protection. He participated in numerous projects regarding the implementation of legal instruments related to new technologies, resulting from the GDPR, the eIDAS Regulation or the PSD2 Directive.


Speaker at international and national conferences, author of publications on new technologies law and IPR. At the University of Wrocław, he teaches private international law and computer science and databases for lawyers.
In Szostek_Bar and Partners Law Firm, he deals with clients from the banking, IT and new technologies sectors.


He gained his professional experience by practicing and working in Wrocław law firms dealing with commercial law, consumer protection and personal data protection.


A multiple scholarship holder of the Rector's scholarship for the best students. In 2016 - 2018 President of the Scientific Society of Civilians, University of Wrocław, currently its honorary member. Fluent in English.

Aleksandra Gołda

Attorney trainee at the Regional Chamber of Legal Advisers in Wrocław. She graduated from the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics at the University of Wrocław, as well as from the Faculty of National Security at the Faculty of Social Sciences and International Business at the Wrocław University of Economics. At the Firm, she deals with litigation and comprehensive services for corporate and strategic clients.

She is interested in business and commercial law, in particular in the analysis of business models and business creation. She tries to combine practice with theory and is a co-author of many projects that are thriving on the Polish market.

She is working on improving her English and Spanish language skills.

Izabela Sojewska

Second-year attorney trainee at the Regional Chamber of Legal Advisers in Wrocław. A graduate of the University of Wrocław, majoring in law at the Faculty of Law, Administration, and Economics and minoring in Image Communication at the Faculty of Philology. She is also a second-degree student of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology at the Faculty of Historical and Pedagogical Sciences of the University of Wroclaw.

In our Firm she supports clients from the banking, IT and new technologies sectors, she also deals with personal data protection issues.

In addition, she is interested in intellectual property law, constitutional law, and human rights regulations. She is a co-organizer of several community projects, including those on countering disinformation and discrimination.

She is working on polishing her English language skills.

Michalina Jarema

Attorney trainee at the Regional Chamber of Legal Advisers in Wrocław. She graduated from the University of Silesia in Katowice in 2021.

She gained her professional experience by practicing and working in Katowice and Wrocław law firms of legal advisors dealing with, among others, civil, banking and financial law. At the firm, she deals with corporate clients and litigation.

In addition, she is interested in business law and intellectual property law. She has an excellent command of English.

dr Edyta Konopczyńska

She specialises in civil law, intellectual property issues – author of publications in the field of collective management of copyright and neighbouring rights as well as permitted personal use of works, published by renowned legal publishers and appearing in recognised journals.


She has many years of practical experience in pursuing claims, trading in receivables, as well as issues related to the bill of exchange law. 


She also has experience in providing services to business entities and in administrative proceedings.


Attorney at law, graduate of the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics at Wrocław University. Doctor of Law with a specialization in civil law.


As pro bono activity, she provides legal assistance to organizations whose statutory objective is legal protection of animals. She is also an author of publications on the legal protection of animals.

prof. n. dr hab. Piotr Stec

Of counsel, Legal advisor, extraordinary professor, director of the Chair of Civil Law and Civil Procedure and Dean of the University of Opole Faculty of Law and Administration, member of the scientific board of “Acta Universitatis Danubius Iuridica” and “Edukacja Prawnicza”  as well as the editorial board of “Comparative Law Review”. He is also a co-editor of the quarterly “Prawo Mediów Elektronicznych.”

Professor Stec is a specialist in the field of intellectual property law and cultural heritage law. Professionally he is also involved in commercialization of the results of scientific studies as well as legal aspects of trade in artwork.

He is the author of numerous publications on private law, intellectual property, trusteeship, and conducts lectures and seminars.

Suzana Zatoń

Legal advisor (license no. WR-2562, registered by the Wrocław Regional Chamber of Legal Advisor). Has many years of experience in providing legal services to public bodies and business entities. She specializes in commercial law, intellectual property, new technologies law and data protection law. She also has extensive experience in the field of public economic law, in particular, public finance law, public procurement law and State aid law. For many years, she has been a member of Supervisory Boards in commercial companies, whose primary scope of business is the commercialization of research and new technologies. Since 2016, she has been a member of Expert Team on State Aid for Business and Innovation Centres’ Activities at the Polish Business and Innovation Centres Association.

She is fluent in English, including legal English.

prof. n. dr hab. Michał Bernaczyk

Extraordinary Professor on the Faculty of Law, Administration, and Economics of the University of Wrocław.

Legal advisor (license no. WR-2139). He completed his traineeship at the Wrocław Regional Chamber of Legal Advisors. A graduate of the Wroclaw University Faculty of Law, Administration, and Economics, where he also received a Ph.D. Awarded and highly accomplished constitutional specialist, author of many legal monographs and research papers.

Prof. n. dr hab. Bernaczyk is an employee of the Constitutional Law Department at the University of Wrocław. He specializes in access to information and its protection. His expertise is used and valued by the Polish Parliament, Ministers in Government, local administration authorities and companies with State Treasury shares in many aspects - from food manufacturers to arms industry.

Pof. n. dr hab. Bernaczyk is an undeniable expert in access to public information and re-use of public sector information both in Poland and worldwide.

He represented interests of citizens, journalists, and public institutions in civil and administrative courts as well as in Constitutional Tribunal in cases concerning freedom of speech and access to public information.
