prof. n. dr hab. Dariusz Szostek

Legal advisor (licence no. KT 3267, registered by the Katowice Regional Chamber of Legal Advisors), Managing Partner, Extraordinary Professor in the Chair of Civil Law and Procedure, Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Opole. Member of the Katowice Department of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Commission of Legal and Economic Sciences. Cooperates with the Centre for Research on Legal and Economic Issues of Electronic Communication at the University of Wrocław Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics.

Professor Szostek Specializes in the law of new technologies, including electronic commerce and consumer law. He is an expert in the field of electronic identification, including verification methods.

He participates in numerous scientific conferences, as well as work on legislation to regulate legal issues surrounding new technologies; he has also served in expert panels for the Ministry of Justice, and he conducts both lectures and seminars.

Professor Szostek is the author of numerous publications in such areas as computerization of courtroom proceedings, electronic documents and electronic signatures, electronic forms of juridical acts, law of the Internet, electronic contracts, consumer law and e-administration.

dr Gabriela Bar

Legal advisor (license no. WR-2038, registered by the Wrocław Regional Chamber of Legal Advisors), Managing Partner, holds a doctorate in law with specialization in civil law; graduate of the University of Wrocław Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics, cooperates with and lectures at the Centre for Research on Legal and Economic Issues of Electronic Communication at the University of Wrocław Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics; lecturer at the University of Opole Faculty of Law and Administration. Member of the Wrocław Regional Chamber of Legal Advisors.

Dr Bar specializes in civil law with particular focus on the law of new technologies (electronic communication, e-commerce), intellectual property law and commercial law. She provides legal advice to internet-based enterprises, and performs legal audits of websites and IT systems – including in English. She is a specialist in protection of personal data and legal security of information.

She has years of experience in litigating claims, as well as in consulting on matters of receivables acquisition and valuation (due diligence), trade in receivables, including acquisition and service of receivables by securitization funds, transfer of security to the assignee.

Dr Bar conducts lectures and seminars. She is an author of numerous publications in the areas of computerization of judicial proceedings, electronic contracts, performance of electronic consideration, electronic commerce, consumer law and resolution of domain disputes.

Małgorzata Rojowska

Legal advisor (license no. WR-2040, registered by the Wrocław Regional Chamber of Legal Advisors), graduate of the University of Wrocław Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics as well as post-graduate studies in Master of Business Mediation at the Wrocław University of Economics. Judicial mediator – registered as a judicial mediator before the Circuit Courts in Wrocław, Opole, Legnica, Świdnica, Jelenia Góra and Zielona Góra. Her experience in mediation allows her to effectively resolve disputes among parties engaged in civil and commercial law disputes.

Ms Rojowska boasts extensive experience in the field of family law. She represents clients in matters concerning divorce, separation, maintenance, contact with children, assignment of parental authority, incapacitation, division of joint estates, probate and enforcement in matters of family law.   

Radosław Kapułka

Legal advisor (license no. WR-2146, registered by the Wrocław Regional Chamber of Legal Advisors), graduate of the University of Wrocław Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics. Possesses rich experience in areas related to assistance for entities operating on regulated markets, particularly on the energy market (transmission enterprises).

Mr Kapułka specializes in civil and administrative proceedings. Rulings handed down in cases he has conducted are published in legal information databases, and verdicts issued by the Supreme Court have led to unification of jurisprudence in transmission easements as relates to permanent usufruct rights. He also boasts experience in assessing the value of transmission easements, which helps avoid costs associated with over-valuation of claims in judicial proceedings.

He is fluent in English, including legal English. On multiple occasions he has advised foreign entities establishing and conducting business in Poland.

Mr Kapułka is the author of numerous press publications on transmission easements. He is a trusted advisor to companies on the energy market.

Legal advisor (license no. WR-3378, registered by the Wrocław Regional Chamber of Legal Advisors), Senior Associate, a graduate of the University of Wrocław Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics.

In her professional career, she has provided legal advice to both individual clients and enterprises. She has experience in representing parties during litigation and administrative proceedings, as well as in electronic small-claims proceedings. Ms. Jedziniak is also interested in company law and real-estate regulations (including enforcement proceedings concerning real-estate).

Karolina Obuchowicz

Trainee legal advisor, graduate of the University of Wrocław Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics. Her professional experience encompasses issues related to real property and commercial law, with particular emphasis on regulation in the Civil Code and Code of Commercial Companies. Furthermore, she is interested in human rights law and intellectual property. She is fluent in English and Russian, and has completed a course in legal Russian.

Wojciech Lamik

Trainee legal advisor, pursing his doctorate at the Chair of Civil Law and Private International Law at the University of Wrocław Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics, of which he is also a graduate. In 2013 - 2014 he was a member of the University Legal Aid Centre operated by the University of Wrocław Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics. Mr Lamik specializes in intellectual property law, protection of rights in personality, and also in civil law with particular emphasis on the law of obligations.

Damian Klimas

Lawyer, pursuing his doctorate at the Centre for Research on Legal and Economic Issues of Electronic Communication at the University of Wrocław Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics. In his previous professional work he has provided ongoing legal assistance in respect of commercial law to the compliance department of an international capital group, as well as securities law, personal data protection regulations and copyright. He has also been a member of a legal team responsible for preparing corporate bond issues. Mr Klimas has extensive experience in providing comprehensive service to commercial companies, drafting contracts, preparing legal opinions for projects from the IT industry, and also preparing corporate bond issues.

dr hab. Przemysław Polański

Of counsel, Habilitated doctor of legal sciences. He is a specialize in the law of new technologies, particularly in negotiations and provisions of contracts in the IT field, including deployment contracts and SLA, protection of intellectual property rights in software, databases, Internet webpages, unlawful contractual clauses, terms and conditions, IT tenders, personal data protection, etc.

He is one of Poland’s leading experts in European and international law of new technologies. In 2013, he was selected by the European Commission to join a group of experts engaged in the issue of contractual clauses applied by suppliers of cloud-based services.

Dr Polański possesses rich experience in designing complex computer systems (lead architect for Legalis since 2007) and as a developer (author of applications for the B2B sector).

Well-versed in the customs present in the IT industry, he is the author of a book on the subject titled "Customary law of the Internet", published by the prestigious T.M.C Asser Press in 2007. Author of over 70 scientific publications concerning the law and IT. Trained as both a lawyer and information scientist.

dr Adam Haręża

Of counsel, Holds a doctorate in legal sciences with specialization in administrative law. Dr Haręża specializes in issues associated with e-government.

He conducts training seminars for judges as well as employees of both local self-government and central government administration around Poland in substantive administrative law, administrative procedure and administrative court procedure.

Dr Haręża is an author of legal opinions ordered by enterprises, as well as of numerous scientific works (articles and studies) published in renowned Polish legal journals.

Katarzyna Kubiak

Of counsel, Advocate, graduate of the Warsaw University Faculty of Law and Administration, completed her traineeship at the Warsaw Bar Council.

Since 2011 she has focused professionally on public procurement issues. In her work, Ms Kubiak has dealt with providing on-going legal assistance for public procurement proceedings regarding the IT and construction industries, including legal services for the public finances sector (Ministry of Justice, Agency for Restructuring and Modernization of Agriculture, Agricultural Social Insurance Fund, Health Service Computer Systems Centre, General Directorate of National Roads and Motorways, Central Office of Geodesy and Cartography, Provincial Departments of Motor Vehicles, local self-government units and state-controlled commercial companies), along with legal service for contractors.

Ms Kubiak has extensive experience in drafting appeals and responses to appeals for the National Appeals Chamber, as well as in representing parties in appeals proceedings before that same body. She specializes in projects concerning IT services and procurement.

Prof. n. dr hab. Piotr Stec

Of counsel, Legal advisor, extraordinary professor, director of the Chair of Civil Law and Civil Procedure and Dean of the University of Opole Faculty of Law and Administration, member of the scientific board of “Acta Universitatis Danubius Iuridica” and “Edukacja Prawnicza”  as well as the editorial board of “Comparative Law Review”. He is also a co-editor of the quarterly “Prawo Mediów Elektronicznych.”

Professor Stec is a specialist in the field of intellectual property law and cultural heritage law. Professionally he is also involved in commercialization of the results of scientific studies as well as legal aspects of trade in artwork.

He is the author of numerous publications on private law, intellectual property, trusteeship, and conducts lectures and seminars.
